| Planting Instructions: | • Within 3-4 weeks of receiving the packet, allow the seeds to germinate in an area with adequate water or rainfall. Do this in a plant pot containing natural compost and stones at the bottom. • To make the germination speed faster, remove the endocarp or the outer shell of the wild jujube seeds before planting. Dig out a small hole at the center of the pot, with about 0.5 inches depth, and insert the two wild jujube seeds into the hole. • Put the pot in a shady location or anywhere that does not receive constant sunlight. If the plant pot is outside, protect it with wire mesh to prevent animals from taking the seeds. • The plant pot should be moist until germination occurs after 7-12 days. Water it regularly. However, do not oversaturate. • Once a shoot appears, you can begin planting the tree in a hole where the pot can fit completely. • Wait patiently. |
| Care Instructions: | Store the wild jujube seeds in a cool, dry place, like a box or a drawer, best contained in the original paper envelope packaging. Avoid areas that expose them to water, light, and heat, as these are the factors required for germination. Ensure that the seeds are dry. Wet seeds, despite the lack of light and soil, may germinate. The ideal temperature to store seeds is between 0 °C to 5 °C. Many gardeners suggest keeping the packet in an airtight container in the refrigerator until it is time to plant. |
